Way to go, Anas

Just finished an AirAsia board meeting and saw the full-page advertisement in The Star taken out by Anas Zubedy of Zubedy (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Couldn't agree more with the general message. I suspect it will resonate with most Malaysians.

i agree, by the way we are to be blamed for supporting our racial parties, we are to be blamed, Malaysia is a democratic country, the federal government is elected by the people, the most number of people !!

Dear All, Zubedy was indeed right that it is time for politicians to stop the rhetoric politics and move forward to save the country from economy slump. The economic scenario in the worlad doesn't look any brighter than it was a year ago and yet politicians are still behaving as if everything is fine and dandy. The message brought forward by Zubedy is a timely reminder and wake up call to all our politicians. However, whether or not his reminer will move the politicians in power will be anybody's guess. The ruckus created by UMNO Youth at the entrance of the parliament yesterday clearly demonstrated that they pay no heed to the call from Zubedy. Sad but true and indeed politicians are moving away from the real politics of yester years and fast embarking into gutter politics and hooliganism to prove a few points. It was a sad day indeed for all and sundry as UMNO Youth issued a nimble and grim reminder that they will not resort to violence to sort out any outstanding and deadlock issues.

I saw an article reporting about this in Singapore's Straits Times this morning. I agree with Anas, with so much by-elections coming up in Malaysia, I think the M'sian government spends unnecessarily amount of money for politics than the people welfare. They (M'sian politicians) are too childish although I believe that the same goes to other Asian politicians (the childishness).

Whilst all these bickering is dominating the blogs and the local media on almost a daily basis, the Malaysian Economy seems to be on auto pilot. Is there a viable and sustainable 5 years or 10 years plan to chart the countries need for resources and growth? What and where will be our next engine of growth? Do we acknowledge the vast differences between gen Y (the next workforce population) & gen X? Or are we gloriously heading towards the ways of Zimbabwe...where inflation is only a mere 231 million percent. Ok, granted, I stretched my point there, but if we are not careful and with the lack of planning, vision and the political will to change we may just be heading towards that direction...The rate the these bickering is providing humour the folks in Instant Cafe Theatre may be included in the unemployment statistics soon!

Dear Mr tony, Firstly very nice having an opportunity to talk to you very directly to a person that make imposible things posible. We are proud of you. anyway thsi country arent being fair at all thats why we are still struggling on our way to achieve. Even with this economical crisis, the politicians are not showing the seriousness in this epidemic but to all time talk about racial issues.... this and that without knowing we are also effected party and the current GDP shows a big drop. Stimulus package designed is not effective but always wasting much money by granting more project which is based on race. Then how could this nation be a visionary nation by 2020? A good judgement calls....

Can't agree more with Anas Zubedy. This is the actual outcry of the majority RAKYAT in Malaysia. Malaysian politicians should focus on the sliding economy of the world rather than the power politics which comes as headlines in all mainstream newspapers in Malaysia.Sometimes its shocking or rather sad to see only a small write up in the smallest column about the economy and retrenchment and shutting downs of companies. The mindset of Malaysian politician should change for good......
