Had the opportunity to be part of the live chat series run by The Star yesterday. It was great to be able to share the aspirations of the 1 Malaysia Formula 1 team with the nation. Just the ability of being able to engage the nation in a live forum and to hopefully inspire us to reach greater heights together was sensational. Have attached the clips for those who missed the conversation.

Check here for details on the livechat.

Am thinking of having this weekly live chat sessions right here on the blog. Will work on something and get it live next week. Watch this space.

Datuk, I am an Australian who is half Malaysian and half English. My seemingly impossible dream is to work in F1 as a team representative. I am seeking out all possible avenues within the Australian motor sport scene but its almost impossible here unless you "know" someone. I have the ambition to make this a reality; I just need someone to give me an opportunity to prove my abilities!! What are my options here? I have dual nationality as I hold a British passport also :)

Thanks for your time yesterday but i still have some questions remained unaksed due to time limit. like, When you told your school mate Charlie that you want to do airline years before, what on earth did he say?hahah...

Great interview Tony, with each interview you're convincing more and more people to look at the overall value of having the team, and basing it here. The challenge is huge - since it started in 1958 only 13 teams have been constructors champions, and from 3 nations only (Britain, France, Italy) but wouldn't it be cool if we made Malaysia the 4th! The talent that Malaysia has is immense and will succeed if given a chance. I was involved in the decision by a major oil company to move their global IT Desktop infrastructure management to Cyberjaya 9 years ago. At the time, there were many people in the company that believed it would fail. In July 2001, we moved into Cyberjaya with about 150 people. By 2005 the company had moved almost all it's IT to Cyberjaya and there were 2,500+ people there. At no stage did we ever have more than 10% expats - the vast majority of the staff were local people we trained up (very quickly) Malaysia (and Lotus F1) boleh!

The local talent in this type of sport is not immense. Surprising very small considering that we have been an F1 for well over a decade. The local motorsport community and industry almost benefited nothing from Petronas' F1 endeavour. The bright side is we have passion and enthusiasm and so once this gets moving and the developmental infrastructure is built ie sepang tech centre etc, the motorpsort industry will move forward, finally. I'm more excited about this than the F1 team itself

Datuk , fly your planes to Kathmandu and create a Tune Hotel there. But not the usual Tune Hotel instead a monastery where everyone can retreat to . It will be Air Asia retreat holidays.
