And the Winner is....

Nov 23, 2009
Categories: Brands, Customers, Others

It was back in September when I launched a competition on my personal Twitter and Facebook page. Simply tell me where and what route you would like AirAsia to fly to and you win free flights for a year. The response was overwhelming.

I know it’s been a long time coming and most of you are probably wondering when the winner of the competition will be announced if at all. Today, I’m going to announce a date. 8 December 2009 to be exact. On that Tuesday, I’m going to call some of my media friends to come along as I unveil the winners to the world. Have been tinkering with technology a bit lately and we’re going to try to experiment with Cover It Live at the event itself. So mark your calendars as I unveil the winners of the first competition on Facebook and Twitter to a year of free flights.

All I’m going to say is that one of the winners chose an Asian destination that we’ve been eyeing for a while now. Will see you on 8 December 2009. It’s all happening live. Let the drums roll.

I think this is an interesting idea. Personally I though there should more flights from Singapore to various cities of Thailand, like Chiang Rai, Udon Thani, Hua Hin, Sattahip (Pattaya) for example. I believe Thai Air Asia can negotiate some deals with Singapore.

i'm sure it is going to be Chennai -KL as this is one of the most lucrative route for any airlines . And I'm sure if Airasia flies to KL -Chennai the rest of the players in the industry will have to work even more harder to compete with you sir.

more flights KL to European countries. For example to Rome, Italy,Spain. more flights to those countries would also attract more tourists from European countries to Malaysian, resulting in the diversifying economy for the travel industry and Malaysian tourism industry. or preferably to African countries. travel to European countries or African countries would create new market for airasia resulting in more profit :) and the passenger of airasia would have different route from the current destinations..people would get more connected around the world and supporting 'now everyone can fly' because we, the passengers would like to feel and explore different and new destination.

I think the destination should be Colombo (CMB) Air Asia has certainly made its mark by revolutionizing the aviation industry here in Sri Lanka and worldwide !

Hi I personally feel that Airasia should start flying to Amritsar. This would allow a direct stop there without having to go through Delhi. Amritsar has a lot to offer to tourists eg the Golden Temple, the border between India and Pakistan etc...Flying there would also give people (primarily the Sikhs) in the region a cheaper alternative to Amritsar.

It is kind of sad that the competition is already at end. You should have this competition every year.

Yang Mulia Datok Seri Tony Fernandes, I think that Airasia should start flying to Mecca for pilgrimate destinations. Amritsar. Many people in Indonesia would love to use AIr Asia for this destinations. Trust me
