Anita Gabriel, the Star reporter sent me this recently and just thought it would be nice to put up a new post. This interview happened a while back in 2007 with my good friend, Sir Richard Branson but the key message is here to stay today and we are realising everything in every way. Will we do a Virgin Atlantic? We're on our way.

Video links for the interview with Branson as follows:-

Check back next week as I unveil the winners for the challenge of naming the route. Being home is definitely exciting.

Hi Datuk Tony, I am a Msian currently came back from Melbourne for a conference in Penang. I am a first timer in taking AirAsia flight from KL-Penang-KL. On the 4th Dec, I seemed to be disappointed with what happened to me. I was checking in my bag (luggage) at Penang Int' Airport at 7.10am for flight on AK 5351 to KL at 8.10am. Upon arrival to KLIA LCCT, I realized that my bag do not get checked in. I have to wait an extra 30 min for the luggage but it seems not there yet. When I checked with the LOST and FOUND dept, I realized my luggage is still at Penang!! In the end, I have to do all the paper work and cause delay on my train back to Segamat. To make matter worse, I tried to call them to track my luggage. Up to the time of writing this post, the luggage has still not reached Senai Airport! And for your information, I have to fly off to Melbourne the day after tomorrow in the morning. I have important notes and clothing to be brought back to Melbourne on the 7th (Monday) in the morning. I am quite upset and disappointed with the services that AirAsia provided. If I am not in a rush, i could wait for my luggage to be sent to my hometown (Segamat). But I have to go back to Melbourne and it just worries and concern me. The information provided by the Lost and Found dept. doesnt seem to ensure that my luggage would arrive to my house before the day of departure. I hope you could help look into this matter. As a true Malaysian, I am expecting this would not happen again. Right now, I have to wait and continue to call the department to track my luggage. The point I am not satisfied is while I am paying for the service (check-in the luggage at MYR20.00 yet I have to go through all this unnecessary nightmare and inconveniences!). If I knew that this would happen, I would not bother following the rule of checking in the luggage (which weighs 10kg) and paying extra for nonsense services and extra nightmare like this! Thanks and hoping that AirAsia will continue to improve any shortcomings. Hope to hear from you soon. Rgrds, Jason Segamat,Johore

Hello sir. Im Manochvarma from Melaka. I'm one of your fan.Its a great article and very useful for my knowledge. I am one of the very interested person to become a pilot in your airlines. I got 9A's in my SPM2007. I send all my resume and detail to Air Asia. Unfortunately I didn't get any reply from Air Asiauntil now. Its hurt my feeling very much. I have really trained my self very well to become a pilot like playing flight simulator, preparing my body fit for the job, watching aircraft investigations in You tube and Astro and many more. Because of I didn't get chance to continue my ambition, and my family does not enough money to support me to become a pilot, so I have sacrified my ambition and now I am studying in Institut Pendidikan Guru, Sulatn Abdul Halim, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Even though I could not be a pilot I want 1 day I become an achieve person like you. Sir, this is my humble request. Can I get your e-mail address or phone no so that I can contact you personally to share some opinion. This is my email address. (mvarma_1709@hotmail.com)(Contact No. 017-6101742). Please email me or contact me sir. I Really hope you will do so. Thank you and good luck sir. Manochvarma s/o Raman. [one of the craziest fan of Dato Tony Fernandes ;-)]

I find it great that you and Richard maintain a close-knit relationship. It is rare to find businessmen of that sort nowadays. Anyways, speaking of Richard, it comes to remind me that you had a bet with him. I seriously hope you don't end up in a Virgin flight. On the contrary, it would be hillarious to find Richard in an AirAsia flight. Tell me which route you will put him in so I can pre-book the tickets now. Hehe. Thanks and take care. Himmat Singh.
