I'm sitting in my car park listening to a CD by the two of the greatest musicians in our time - Carol King and James Taylor. Don't want to leave such a great CD.

"So Far Away" is one of the greatest songs ever written. Funny how songs can accurately reflect your mood because this is how I feel right now about settling disputes with MAS.

We just want to fly where we want but they spend all their time trying to stop us. Kinda sad that such a great company is so focused on stopping a fellow Malaysian company from growing.

Actually I have no dispute with Malaysia we just want to fly.
Is the sky only for MAS?

Is the high street only for CIMB? No, it’s not.

Is the mobile phone service only for Celcom? No it’s not.

Saudi Arabian government has just given Malaysia 28 flights a week to Jeddah but because MAS objects to us flying there, lower income folks who could get a low fare still can't go. We will survive because we have such innovative people in the company.

But I feel for people who could go to Mecca (via Jeddah) more often with our low fares. How different it is in Indonesia, where both Gardua and low-cost carrier Lion Air fly to Jeddah.

As a Malaysian I want MAS to be the best in the class just like I want the same for CIMB, Petronas, and Celcom. And when you see SIA and Cathay and Garuda doing so well it is a shame that MAS’ only ideas are to stop AirAsia growing.

Why not just buy them over and make them part of AirAsia's ?

Hi Tony, I always found it ridiculous that MAS ads seems to treat AirAsia as their only competitor.

We lived long enough in this country that we love called Malaysia, seen enough but never changed. We always compete among our self with some of us protected, thus no one is competitive enough in the world market or stage I think Caesar said it best ¡§ Veni,Vidi,Vici¡¨, how are we to conquer when it¡¦s not a level playing field at home ...... I don¡¦t have an exact remedy but there are lots of people who have done the imposable when the rest of the world said it can¡¦t be done. One good example is Sir Roger Bannister, the 4 minute metric mile barrier was broken by him. Every one even Doctor said ¡§it was humanly impossible ¡§but today the record is 3:26.00. It all begun with Roger at Oxford on May 6th 1954, now to be in the Olympics Semi finals heats you must have better time than Roger Bannister and thy said its impossible Perhaps you could strike a deal with Indonesia and fly them from Malaysia to Jakarta and from Indonesia to Jeddah at a cheaper price than MAS and wont that be a joke ƒº To me you are the ¡§Volkswagen of the Airline industries, just like the Volkswagen car of the 60¡¦s I am sure you can and will! No avenue to complaint. i tried to email to you to your email tony@tonyfernandesblog.com but i bounce back Dear Tony , I am writing this to your because I have no other avenue to complaint about the services that airasia rendered. I am a regular customer of Airasia where I travel with your airline almost every month. I have tried all possible mean to lodge a complaint on the services by Airasia. (1) I tried to call your Premium Line which charged RM1.95/minute to lodge this complaint but was put on hold for a few minutes without being attended (2) I tried to get your live help but I was told to wait for 141 minutes (3) I tried to lodge and online feedback but was told to wait more than 5 working day to get a reply. (4) I put up my complaint in airasia facebook but I was told by Airasia facebook to lodge an online feedback, which I have already done. I am forced to my last resort to write and complaint to your personally. The following are a reproduction of the complaint that I have lodge to your online feedback and Airasia facebook after falling to go through the normal route of Premium Line and Live Help. I would like put forward a complaint. My flight with booking number O4KL6P was delayed for more than 4 hours for flight QZ7694. (1) I would like to seek for compensation for the delay of my booking. (2) During the booking i have paid for my in-flight meal, but i was re-scheduled for another flight and i do not get the meal i ordered, I would like to request for a refund for my online meal purchased. (3) I tried to call your Premium Line which charged RM1.95/minute to lodge this complaint but was put on hold for a few minutes without being attended (4) I tried to get your live help but I was told to wait for 141 minutes “An online representative will be with you shortly. You are number 107 in queue. Your wait time will be approximately 141 minute(s). Thank you for waiting” I am regular customer of Airasia and I am truly disappointed with the service rendered by Airasia I tried to lodge and online feedback but was told to wait more than 5 day to get a reply. As a regular customer of Airasia, I am very disappointed with the level of services rendered. Wong Chee Fui. wongcheefui@gmail.comI

I don't get it! How can they determine what airlines can fly to a country?

But Cathay Pacific is not a "Flagship Carrier", and they are monopolize Hong Kong's market anyway...no direct competitors anymore...merge with Air Hong Kong, ate up dragonair, took down Oasis (Oasis went the wrong way as well...).....Now, Hong Kong Airlines...........the reason why they are still hanging in is because their Mother Company...."Hainan Group" (Hainan Airlines) keep pumping the money....but at the end, they still can't get much from Cathay's Strong hold.....i would rather think Hong Kong Airline as Air Asia, while Cathay is MAS......

This MAS vs AirAsia reminds me of what Richard Branson went through when he started Virgin Airlines in the 80s; British Airways apparently tried their best to stop Virgin Airlines getting the routes. Branson's memoirs are very interesting..

good day dear Sir. in my personal opinion, honestly this case Sir,they should see AirAsia as a healthy competitor, and in some way your company had also improve their quality and standard of service.hence equal chance should be given, otherwise no improvement could be observed. Malaysians have seen how AirAsia has evolved over these years under your wings, and not only in aviation, but as an empire,a conglomerate.this dispute,or battle i would say,is just a mere challenge for you and the company Sir.in my honest opinion Sir,it can be a win-win situation, but it will take sometimes.they will realize, eventually, how AirAsia is actually a part of the aviation family.and a part of them too.and believe me Sir,someday,it will not be so far away.and i must agree, that song is one of the greatest. :) and thank you for your email Sir.i really really appreciate it very much.

Well i guess, all the hurdles and the difficulties you have to face are just the "secret ingredients" of your today's achievement. flying to Jeddah maybe one hell of golden opportunities for Air Asia but what about other place in Middle East. I do not really know what exactly the specific reason for MAS to stop Air Asia from growing,.. but surely they have concrete reason for that. If possible i would like to see Air Asia grow further and bigger from MAS through its innovative ideas but not in head to head competition. Air Asia is actually representing more than 3 billions of people in term of market size for Asia population. Let MAS be the country Brand and Air Asia as an International and World brand from Malaysia. Then all of us win.

I'm very interesting with the breakthrough that you made. Everyone can fly to anywhere.......

Transit can solve ur problems. Free flight to Indonesia, then next to the destination u wanted provided approved by that countries.
Now every1 can fly, any destination.. No more restriction, they create problems, but u solve problems..
