Since its inaugural game between satria muda britama of indonesia and the philippines patriots i have been following all the games over at espn and it brings me great pride to see fellow countrymen battling it out in the hard court with neighbors in the region. It's about time we have a league like this to develop not only the game of basketball in the region but also forging together a bond that is the ASEAN and i do hope that every country in this region will be represented soon. This league is one way of bridging the cultural divide that we in the region have and create a better understanding of each others cultures. Each team, their fans and their owners are ambassadors of their own countries bringing not only their pride but the hope that one day we will all have genuine unity and prosperity in the region. to the owners, leagues with this kind of format is no joke economics wise. so i hope that you guys will dig deep into your pockets and sustain the league until it reaches its maturity.
